One of the senior commanders of militant group Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza is killed. The death of commander was because of an Israeli airstrike.
A missile hit his home, and he died on the spot along with his wife. He had four children injured after the incident.
According to Israel’s prime minister, the commander was planning to attack their country. The prime minister called Baha Abu al-Ata as ticking bomb.
More than a hundred rockets fired at Israel from Gaza after the killing. Palestinian Islamic Jihad has vowed these attacks to avenge.
As a result of these attacks, seventeen Israelis got injured. An eight-year-old girl was in a severe condition, said Barzilai Medical Center.
While the attack killed Baha Abu al-Ata in Palestine, two other people lost life as well.
At the same time, more than ten people were injured by an Israeli airstrike, as well. Another leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad faced the attack while in his home.
PIJ is one of the most active militant groups in Gaza.
Palestinian militants replied to the attack at Baha Abu al-Ata’s funeral. A senior of PIJ, Khaled al-Batsh, said that Israel executed two attacks in Syria and Gaza.
Palestinian Islamic Jihad vowed that Abu al-Ata’s killing would never pass without being punished. Rockets fired from Gaza towards Israel after the murder.
The air raid sirens sounded in southern as well as the central part of Israel. One factory hit in Sderot after air raid, according to Israeli media.
Along with the factory, two houses located in Netivot and Eshkol regional council were also the victims.
